On October 11 at about 2:05 AM, Conroe Police Officers were dispatched to the
Micheladas El Patio bar located at 2017 N. Frazier Street Suite A2, in reference to a shooting. Arriving Officers located a deceased male in the parking lot just outside the doors to the bar.
Numerous witnesses and employees were still at the location and gave Officers a description of the incident. Officers learned that the victim, Julio Cardenas, 43, arrived at the bar with a family member earlier in the night. At some point during the evening a man started making advances towards the female family member who was with Cardenas. Words were exchanged inside the bar, but nothing physical occurred. When the bar closed, the victim walked outside and was shot by the suspect, who fled the location afterwards, according to Police Officials.
Detectives from Conroe Police arrived and began an investigation. Moises Lopez Vaglienty, 32, was quickly identified as a suspect. At 3:30 AM, the suspect was located and arrested outside of his home in Conroe without incident. Vaglienty has been charged with murder and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail with a $500,000 bond. This is the second homicide at this bar within 48 hours and both incidents are still under investigation.
