Ashely Fehrle is running for Conroe ISD School Board Position 6.
“Hi, my name is Ashley Fehrle, and I’m running for CISD School Board, Position 6. I’m a proud Conroe High alum. I have lived in Montgomery County for 30 years and have seen firsthand our county’s growth over the years,” said Fehrle.
“I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in social work, and following graduation, I returned to Montgomery County to work as a medical hospice social worker, serving within the CISD boundary. While working full time, I obtained my Master’s Degree in social work from the University of Houston,” said Fehrle. “I was fortunate to have internships in Montgomery County at the Community Clinic & The Montgomery County Women’s Center. I left my vocation to raise my children. However, I have kept my social work license current, which means I must submit hours for continuing education. I also have served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer advocate in Montgomery County, where I was a voice for children in the courtroom who have been removed from their homes by CPS and placed in foster care or with family.”
“I am married to James Fehrle, who is also a product of CISD, graduating from The Woodlands High School. He owns a second-generation family business in Montgomery County, and we have two children who are currently in CISD,” said Fehrle.
“I have been involved in the schools since my children entered public school. I served on the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) in multiple roles, including PTO President for two years. As PTO President, my leadership in fundraising was recognized as best-practice and modeled by several schools in CISD and others in the State of Texas, Fehrle said. “I am currently a Grade Level Advisor for the National Charity League, Texas Laurels chapter. I grew up attending West Conroe Baptist Church and have always been a leader in the church of my membership – children’s and women’s ministries as an example. My husband and I are active members at Faith Bible Church, where my husband serves as a deacon.”
“I have always had a servant’s heart and a passion for volunteerism. Serving on the CISD school board is something that I feel called to do. I am running to help maintain the high standards of education in CISD and ensure a level playing field in education for all children despite their challenges. I will be an advocate for children and for teachers,” said Fehrle. “As a taxpayer, I will ensure that the district is fiscally responsible with our tax dollars and seek ways to save wherever possible.
