The grand opening for Houston Methodist The Woodlands Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Facility took place on Feb. 7. Hospital staff, members of local Chambers of Commerce as well as representative from the Houston Astros and Houston Texans were on hand for the grand opening of the facility.
Hospital Officials said the new facility will provide comprehensive services in one convenient location, the campus of the hospital. It houses a basketball court, full-length indoor pitching and batting cage, outdoor sports and agility training field and robotic unloading devices.
The new facility also has a balance clinic, sports performance therapies, neuro-rehab, cardiac-rehab and pre-cancer and post-cancer rehab, with a highly trained team of physical therapists.
“Our therapists thoroughly evaluate our patients and create a customized rehabilitation plan using the most effective and progressive techniques, so the patient can confidently and safely return to the highest possible quality of life,” said Ben Renfrow, Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Methodist The Woodlands. We have cutting-edge equipment and innovative new therapies that include virtual neuro rehab and pelvic floor therapy, among others.”
