Possible tornado touches down in Walker County from Friday night’s storms

The storm from the night of Jan. 10 caused some damage in Walker County. Jimmy Williams, spokesperson for the New Waverly Volunteer Fire Department, said officials are working on confirming whether a tornado touched down in the area of FM 2296 in Huntsville, causing damage.

Williams said there was storm damage and power outages to homes in the areas along Highway 75 and FM 2296.
