The Splendora ISD Board of Trustees decided on the new school zones beginning the 2020-2021 school year. The Board approved the new school zones at their regular meeting on Dec. 16. Option B was chosen, with the modification that both north and south sides of Hill and Dale Avenue will attend the new school, Timber Lakes Elementary. This option also gives the district the longest capacity in terms of growth. Click here to see Zoning Option B and its projections.

District Officials said new school zones are always a difficult decision, that is why a school zoning committee was formed in  May 2019. The committee met on September 26, 2019 to discuss several options presented to them from Population Area Survey Analysts (PASA). The committee asked for two new options to be developed and met again on November 7. These two options were posted on the Splendora ISD website, emailed to parents, and posted to social media in late November. The Board reviewed the numerous comments received.

All four elementary zones will house EE-6th grade students. Intra-district transfer procedures and other special programs (Life Skills, Dual Language, etc.) decisions will be announced in early Spring.
