The Montgomery County Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week is Chuck. Chuck is a seven-year-old Black pit mix, weighing 60 pounds.
He needs a home with no cats. He is good on a leash unless he sees a cat.
He has been at the shelter since March 27.
Chuck’s the longest term resident at MCAS—since March 2019! Chuck’s an older guy with arthritis. He’d thrive in a slow and steady lifestyle full of relaxation! He’s smart, attentive, and reported as well behaved in a home environment during his weekend foster outings. He’s a volunteer favorite, and has even been seen sneaking onto the laps of human friends to get some much needed TLC. During his stay, he’s become testy of other dogs while kenneled, but who wouldn’t after so long? Fifty pound jumping beans for roomies aren’t his vibe considering his arthritis. Imagine how uncomfortable that must be. During doggie playgroups, he goes into the retirement home play yard with other calm seniors. Please help us find Chuck a home with a cozy dog bed before the holiday season is over. He’s available for foster, adoption, and rescue!
