The annual “Light Up Montgomery” event that will be held the evening of Dec. 7, is hosted by the Montgomery Civic Association. It takes place in Cedar Break Park, and will feature Christmas carols, hot chocolate, cookies, wassel and more. Montgomery Mayor Sarah Countryman said there will be awards given out to first, second and third place for best decorated homes, businesses and poles.
“This is a fantastic hometown tradition,” said Countryman.
Countryman said before that gets underway, there will be pancakes, pictures and crafts with Santa at the Hodge Podge Lodge, located at 300 Prairie Street in Montgomery. That’s being held from nine to eleven a.m. on Dec. 7.
