Owner of sports bar in Conroe arrested for allegedly possessing drugs

Conroe Police Officials say 39-year-old Rutilio Jaimes Torres, the owner of Bella’s Sports Bar on West Davis in Conroe, was arrested after a narcotics search warrant was executed at the bar on Nov. 22. A subsequent search of the premises yielded 170.7 grams of methamphetamine, 67 grams of powder cocaine and a .45 semiautomatic handgun, according to Police Officials.

Torres was placed under arrest for two separate first degree felony counts of Manufacture and Delivery of a penalty group 1 controlled substance, more than four but less than 200 grams. Police Officials say Torres, an illegal immigrant with one previous deportation, was taken to the County Jail where he is currently being held with an ICE detainer. T.A.B.C. (Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission) has been notified of the incident.
