Ark Church’s Free grocery giveaway is Nov. 23

The Ark Church is setting the table for those in need this Thanksgiving with over 263,000 meals given to families across Montgomery County.

The Ark Church is hosting a free grocery giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 7:00 a.m. until the food runs out. This year The Ark has partnered with Kroger, The Montgomery County FoodBank, H.E.B., and Walmart to give hope to thousands in our community.

The Ark Church’s Fall Grocery Giveaway will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2019, beginning at seven a.m. at the church, located at 450 Humble Tank Road, Conroe, TX 77304. This event is an opportunity for those in our community to be blessed with free food.

Over 263,000 meals will be handed out to Montgomery County residents that make their way to The Ark. Last year, thousands of families were blessed with enough food to serve a family of four for up to a month. Each year The Ark strives to give food to those in need. There are non-perishable food staples along with fresh items, such as meat, vegetables, and fruit.

“We believe God has placed us in this community to be a blessing. In scripture, Isaiah 58:10 tells us to feed the hungry and help those in trouble. We want our community to know that we care about them, not just by our words, but also through our actions,” Anthony Rios, Outreach Pastor at The Ark, said. It is an incredible privilege to serve the people of Montgomery County.”

Over 800 volunteers will be on hand at The Ark Church, Saturday, Nov. 23, to help people load food into their cars. Groceries for a family of four for a month will be given away for free on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7 a.m.
