The Montgomery County Animal Shelter was recognized at the Nov. 19 Commissioners Court meeting for receiving an award at the Petco Foundation Awards ceremony, that was held Nov. 14 in San Diego.

A resolution was presented by Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack, and approved by the Court.

“Whereas the Montgomery County Animal Shelter saves 93 percent of the 15,000 animals they care for each year. Whereas the Shelter leadership and staff, volunteers, rescues and animal care advocates, they have worked diligently and responsibly to make Montgomery County’s Animal Shelter one of the premiere animal shelters in the state of Texas,” Noack read to Commissioners and the audience. Now therefore, be it resolved, that the Montgomery County Commissioners Court recognizes the Montgomery County Animal Shelter for their exemplary life-saving work, which lead to the presentation of the 2019 Life-Saving Impact award by the Petco Foundation.”
