Conroe Police Department SWAT members arrested a 51-year-old man, Thomas Bryce, on drug charges on Nov. 4, after executing a search warrant at a home at 140004 McCombs Rd., Conroe. Assisting in the search warrant execution were Montgomery County Pct. 2 deputy constables.

Bryce was located just outside the residence, authorities say. A subsequent search of the home reportedly yielded large quantities of high potency THC wax and food products.

An elaborate butane lab system allegedly used for synthesizing raw marijuana into high potency THC wax was located on the premises.

Authorities say this is the first known lab of its kind located within Montgomery County, as these products are usually shipped in from other states. Bryce was taken into custody for Manufacture of Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. He was booked in at the Montgomery County Jail.
