Tony, also known as Plewdawg, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the age of 67. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Western High School in 1970. He was a detective for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and retired after 29 years in Law Enforcement. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, classic rock, classic cars, rescues, and painted miniature models as a hobby. Tony had a great sense of humor and an uncanny ability to instantly befriend those he met.
He mentored and inspired many people during his short life. He was preceded in death by his parents Merlin and Ellen Plew, sister Jackie Dessaur, and brother-in-law Carl Cavaness.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Tomi Plew, son Kenneth Plew of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter Amanda Plew of Carson City, Nevada. Step-daughters Michele Fuller and Jennifer Stringham of Tacoma, Washington, Sister Ann Cavaness and nephew Joe Jensen of Las Vegas, Nevada, and grandchildren Mytasia Plew and Luke Fuller.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019, at 3pm at Cashner Funeral Home with a reception to immediately follow from 4pm-6pm.
Second service to follow in Las Vegas, Nevada, date to be determined.
