Conroe church music director arrested, charged with soliciting minor girl online

A 34-year-old music director working for Living Way Church in Conroe is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Jonathan Ensey, 34, of The Woodlands, is charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor and Indecency with a Child.

Ensey is being represented by Attorney E. Tay Bond.

“We have cooperated with the investigation and done all we can to facilitate the arrest warrant and are complying with the conditions of bond,” Bond said.

Bond said Ensey turned himself in on Friday night, went to probable cause court on Saturday morning, and was released Saturday evening after posting bond. Ensey’s bond was set at $30,000 per charge.

Ensey is scheduled to meet with his probation officer Monday. His first court date is Oct. 16 in the 221st District Courtroom of the Honorable Judge Lisa Michalk. The District Attorney’s Office is continuing its investigation.
