Montgomery ISD has finished its investigation into an allegation of hazing involving student-athletes that was reported through Montgomery High School’s anonymous tip line.
District officials said any necessary consequences for students found to have been involved in the alleged conduct will be issued immediately in accordance with state law and the District’s Student Code of Conduct.
The District is prohibited by law from sharing further details regarding this investigation , including the identities of any students involved or any consequences assigned as a result of the investigation.
Montgomery ISD is fully cooperating with law enforcement officials as a result of the investigation.
District officials also said that school safety is their top priority and they are committed to properly investigating all allegations of bullying or hazing, and taking remedial and/or disciplinary action as needed.
They encourage district students, parents and community members to report acts of suspected hazing or bullying using the District’s anonymous reporting hotlines that are campus specific and can be found on the campus websites.
Montgomery ISD has counseling services available at all campuses for students who have been involved in incidents of bullying or hazing of any kind. Students or parents interested in these services can contact a campus administrator.
