Spring firefighter calendar to benefit adoptable shelter animals

Spring firefighters are used to suiting up to run into burning buildings to save family pets. Now they dropping the suits for a firefighter calendar to benefit adoptable animals awaiting homes at the Harris County Animal Shelter.

Fifteen male firefighters, ranging in age from 20 to 60, are featured in the calendars that are being sold in Old Town Spring shops and restaurants, the Spring Fire Department Administration Building at 656 E. Louetta, and at the Harris County Animal Shelter. Half of the proceeds go to the Spring Firefighter Assistance Fund and the other half goes to Friends of County Pets, the shelter’s pet foster program.

The calendars are $20 each and only 4,000 copies are available.
