A 15-year-old Magnolia teen, Ryder Skye Cambron, is safe and was not abducted, according to a statement released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office just after midnight, Thursday.
Cambron was found at a residence in nearby Dobbin, Texas, where she reportedly was hiding from authorities.
“Due to the diligence and hard work of detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, we are pleased to report that Ryder Skye Cambron has been safely located in Dobbin, Texas. She was hiding at a residence and fled prior to detectives’ arrival; however, after a search in a wooded area, Ryder was located and is currently in police care,” the statement continues.
Cambron’s disappearance became the focus of a multi-agency investigation Tuesday night after the “Mule” style UTV she was riding on in the 20550 block of Imperial Oak Drive in Magnolia was found, along with her cell phone, in a wooded area.
Overnight and through Wednesday evening, authorities continued the search for Cambron.
The Sheriff’s Office is promising more information in a press release that will be issued around 1 a.m. As soon as an update is available, it will be posted online.
