On Monday, July 22, Liberty County sheriff’s deputies detained the 15-year-old suspect. Later that evening, Mota, who goes by the nickname “Sleepy,” was arrested that evening around 7:40 p.m. Mota is alleged to be the shooter in the incident. His bond is also set at $2 million.
